Georgina Fortuin, well known in Promosa as Aunty Georgina, her daughter Tamryn Fortuin and a group of young ladies, hosted a Christmas event at their home in Promosa whereby they gave out food and presents to less fortunate children.
The event was held on the 16th of December and even the rain couldn’t dampen the excited spirit of the children.
For the past few years Georgina and her son have been giving out food to 100 kids in December. It started one year on her son’s birthday when he wanted to rather give food to the less fortunate instead of having a birthday party. It became a yearly tradition and now others have joined in by donating to the cause or by donating their time to help out.
Auntie Georgina and the group of young ladies showed remarkable kindness and compassion by giving back to the Promosa community.
“It’s truly heartwarming! Auntie Georgina and the young ladies are an inspiration to us all, reminding us of the importance of giving back and making a positive impact in our communities,” one of the members of the community applauded the project.
