Water Shutdown planned for Wednesday

Residents are kindly advised to store sufficient water in advance.

The JB Marks Local Municipality has planned a water shutdown for Wednesday, December 3. The shutdown will take place from 07:00 until late in the evening.

Jeanette Tshite, municipal spokesperson, says the shutdown is planned to facilitate the installation of a new Pressure Relief Valve (PRV) on the MC Rhoode Road.

“This intervention is necessary to replace the existing defective valve, which has contributed to water pressure fluctuations and supply challenges in downstream areas.”

Affected Areas:

  • Dagbreek
  • Vyfhoek
  • Van der Hoff Park
  • Baillie Park and the nearby Extension Areas
  • Grimbeek Park
  • Tuscany Ridge

“Residents are kindly advised to store sufficient water in advance and to use water sparingly during that period to minimise inconvenience. The JB Marks Local Municipality sincerely apologises for any disruption caused as we work to improve reliability and efficiency of the water supply network.”
