An electrical and mechanical breakdown at the Ventersdorp pumpstation has resulted in an interruption in water supply in certain areas.

Jeanette Tshite, JB Marks municipal spokesperson, says an unexpected electrical and mechanical breakdown has occurred at the main water supply pumpstation.

As a result, water supply interruption is being experienced at Ventersdorp Town, Tshing, Moosapark and Toevlug areas.

“The Municipality acknowledges the inconvenience and frustration this situation may cause to affected residents. Our technical team is on site, working diligently to resolve the matter as quickly and safely as possible. The JB Marks Local Municipality apologises for the inconvenience caused,” adds Tshite.
