The Ikageng police are investigating a case of rape after an 18-year-old youth kept a 13-year-old girl in his shack for three days and allegedly engaged in sexual intercourse with her.
According to Const. Kelebogile Trom, Ikageng spokesperson, the girl’s mother reported her missing on 6 October and her technology teacher found her in Promosa on 9 October.
Trom says the teacher from one of the primary schools in Ikageng helped with the search and brought the girl to the mother. ‘In the presence of the mother, the girl revealed that she had been in some teenage boy’s shack in Ext. 11 and had engaged in sexual intercourse over the period she was reported missing,’ she said.
Furthermore, Trom says the police have established that the boy is already eighteen and have, therefore, opened a case of rape against him.
