Sandra Jacobs, the managing director, is organising a peaceful gathering at the Potch Dorp Rugby Club, 2 Piet Bosman Street at 10:00 on 4 November.
You may have been on the receiving end of a petty crime like pick-pocketing or a major crime like rape or murder has affected you or your loved ones.
Perhaps your privacy has been invaded by a burglar.
‘Please wear black to symbolise a community in mourning. If your business supports this initiative, please wrap a tree at your entrance in black.
The historic Oak Avenue will also be wrapped in black.
‘It doesn’t matter where you stay, it doesn’t matter who you are…crime is devastating and it’s crippling our community,’ she urges.
This is a non-political, civil initiative and no marketing of any sorts will be allowed,’ she said.
