The Ikageng police are investigating a rape case after a 26-year-old man is alleged to have raped his friend, a 20-year-old man in an open veld near the OMV white sand at about 23:45 last Wednesday.
According to Sgt Kelebogile Trom, the police spokesperson, the complainant alleges that he went to visit his friend who then asked him to accompany him to collect his “stuff” from somewhere.
“They and a third friend all left but, along the road, the third friend decided to take another route. The two continued to the white sand until the suspect stopped to urinate. Afterwards, he asked the friend to perform sexual acts on him and the complainant refused.
“After a few moments, he forcefully undressed him and proceeded to rape him. It started raining and he got angry and told the victim he was taking him to the other side of the veld to continue raping him. The victim managed to kick him and ran away,” said Trom.
