A 33-year-old Bangladesh man was seen lying in a pool of blood after he was shot last night (29 January), in his tuck-shop in Promosa.
Around 21:00, the police received a call with regards to a business robbery in Promosa. According to Sgt Kelebogile Trom, Ikageng Police spokesperson, when the police arrived at the scene, they found community members standing outside the shop.
“They (Police) went inside the shop and found one Bangladesh citizen who identified himself as Rahmen Anisur, who pointed out the deceased known as Bayzid Mohammed, 33-year-old, lying in a pool of blood with a gunshot wound on the right side of his chest.”
She further explained that the shop’s assistant alleged that he was in the kitchen when he heard the sound of a gun shooting. He then went to look at what happened and that is when he found his boss lying on the floor in a pool of blood, next to the counter.
“All relevant people attended the scene and the deceased was taken to the Potch Mortuary,” said Trom.
She also confirmed that a case of murder is being investigated.
