Potch will serve up top tennis

The well-known ATP challenger 50 tournament will take place in Potch from 9 to 15 March, with some of the top upcoming stars competing in this international event.

The tennis landscape will be booming in Potchefstroom this coming season, with a couple of massive events taking place at the North-West University/Riaan Venter Tennis Academy courts.
The well-known ATP challenger 50 tournament will take place in Potch from 9 to 15 March, with some of the top upcoming stars competing in this international event.
Challenger events are the second ties events on the ATP tournaments, behind the first tier ATP tour (250, 500 and Masters events).
Other events taking place in Potch include the ITF Junior Grade events from 15 to 29 February in two respective tournaments, hosted back to back.
An ITF World Tennis Tour Combined $25,000 event will also take place in Potch from 1 to 8 March.
“The NWU strives to provide opportunities for athletes and students in sports and, hopefully, through endeavours like this, we can retain talent and provide world-class opportunities, catering for the needs of our youth and top sports stars in this country.
We thank TSA for their confidence in our ability to host, and to Helene Botha and Riaan Venter, who will be managing this event on behalf of the NWU,” stated Sheldon Rostron in a press release.
