Samuel Broadbent House celebrated their nursing staff with a special event on International Nurses day (Thursday, 12 May).

Sr Petro Benade from the NWU was the main speaker at the event. She presented the nursing staff with valuable information with regards to the skills they have at their disposal in order to do the best work possible.
Benade looked at professional, personal, contextual and spiritual strengths and how these can improve resilience.

She also emphasised on how these strengths can be used to turn challenges into opportunities when working with the elderly and those in frail care.

This informative talk definitely lifted the spirits of the nursing staff at Samuel Broadbent House and gave them more tools to serve the elderly with superb dedication and a smile.
