Police requests assistance in locating three male suspects
The police are investigating three separate rape incidents that happened in Potchefstroom this year.

The Potchefstroom Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Unit requests community assistance in locating three men who can assist with police investigations. The police FCS Unit released identikits of these three men.
According to NW Police spokesperson, Capt. Aafje Botma, the first incident occurred on Saturday, 16 April 2022, at about 03:00. An 18-year-old victim was allegedly asleep in her house in Sibusiso Street, Ikageng when a male who broke open the door overpowered her, then threatened her with a knife and subsequently raped her.
The man is believed to be between 39-40 years old. He is dark in complexion, has dark eyes and is tall with a slender build.

The second incident occurred on Monday, 11 July 2022, at about 04:30. A a -year-old woman was allegedly offered a lift by a male who was driving in his Silver/Grey Suzuki vehicle. The man allegedly assaulted the woman and raped her inside his car close to a church in Sarafina Extension, Ikageng.
The man is believed to be between 32-36 years old. He is dark in complexion, has dark eyes and is medium in length with a slender build.

The third incident took place on Friday, 5 August 2022 at about 02:15, when a 20-year-old woman was on her way home with friends in a Volkswagen Polo. The woman and her friends stopped at a tavern in Potchefstroom. The victim allegedly went to the bathroom, but the suspect followed her and raped her.
The male suspect is believed to be in his 30’s. He has dark eyes and hair, is tall and a bit over weight.
