This week’s task is to clean up Potchefstroom
As part of the National Clean-Up and Recycle SA week, the Potchefstroom Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with CleanUp Together, J.B. Marks and Deswalner Recycling, aim to pick up 3,000 bags of litter from today, 12 September until Saturday the 17th.
As part of the National Clean-Up and Recycle SA week, the Potchefstroom Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with CleanUp Together, J.B. Marks and Deswalner Recycling, aim to pick up 3,000 bags of litter from 12 to 17 September.
The opening ceremony will take place at Paryslaan Potchefstroom Monument at 08:00 on 12 September.
Community members who wish to volunteer to clean their specific streets or certain areas are welcome to collect free garbage bags daily between 08:00 and 08:30 in that area.
All businesses, organisations, families, and community members are invited to take hands and help clean the town.
“We are passionately #ProPotch and believe our community can make a massive difference in Potchefstroom by standing together to create a more aesthetically pleasing city,” chairperson of the Potchefstroom Chamber of Commerce, Juanita Smit, said.
Deswalner Recycling will recycle all the litter collected during the clean-up week. A separate bag for recyclable litter will be provided, so you can sort it while you clean up.
The Potchefstroom Chamber of Commerce encourages all community members to clean up the areas where they work, live and play by collecting the litter and ensuring that it gets recycled.
