A two-year-old boy tragically passed away on Tuesday, 29 August when a television fell on him at a Day Care Centre in Ikageng.

A two-year-old boy tragically passed away on Tuesday, 29 August when a television fell on him at a Day Care Centre in Ikageng.

According to NW police spokesperson, Col. Adele Myburgh, the incident occured at a Day Care Centre in Matlhare Street in Ikageng.

“It is alleged that the boy and other children were playing around a book shelve, which had a television balanced on top. The book shelve was bumped which caused the Television to topple and fall on the boy. The boy was rushed to Boiki Thlapi Clinic, but was pronounced dead on arrival,” stated Myburgh.
