A water pipe supplying Sarafina, Zakhele, and surrounding households has been inadvertently damaged by the contractor. The contractor is working on a construction site at the new 25-megalitre reservoir.

Jeanette Tshite, spokes person for the municipality, says the municipal technical team is currently on-site attending to the leak and working to restore the water supply as a matter of urgency.

“We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience during this period. Repairs are expected to be completed later today.”
