It is a vibrant display of dedication and resilience.

Big Prims is a unique annual event where Primari (senior student leaders from residences) spend 48 consecutive hours living inside a glass case in the heart of campus. The event is designed to foster unity and camaraderie among residence leaders while putting their endurance and spirit to the test to raise awareness of students who struggle to feed themselves.

During the 48 hours:

  • Participants are not allowed to eat, relying solely on water for sustenance.
  • They are provided with necessities, including a mattress and access to shower facilities.
  • The entire challenge takes place in a transparent enclosure located at the NWU amphitheater, symbolising leadership under the public eye.

Organized by the NWU SCC/KSR Treasurer’s Office, Big Prims serves as a vibrant display of dedication and resilience, with student communities rallying around their leaders in support and celebration.

As residence leaders prepare to step into the glass case, the entire campus community is expected to join in the festivities.
