Beloved police Captain passes away

The North West police community is mourning the loss of Captain Mpho Manyoba, a dedicated SAPS spokesperson known for her warmth, kindness, and infectious smile.

Captain Mpho Manyoba, a captain in the SAPS, who worked in as a spokesperson has passed away.

According to Brigadier Sabata Mokgwabone she passed at about 11:00 on Saterday morning. According to information received it is believed that she suffered a heart attack.

“It is with regret and great sadness that we are informing you of the death of one of our own, Captain Manyoba. May her soul rest in peace,” said Mokgwabone in a short message to members of the North West Police communication group.

Captain Manyoba was well known and loved within the community. A person who always smiled and who would go the extra mile for people.

The Herald, having worked with Captain Manyoba since she was appointed as a warrant officer at the Potchefstroom police station is saddened by the news of her passing.

“We are praying for her family during this difficult time. We will miss her infectious laughter and beautiful spirit,” said Dustin Wetdewich, Editor of the Herald.
