Witrand Specialised Hospital management and hospital board welcomes a cohort of 73 Health workers in the new year who among them are Clinicians, Nurses, and administration workers.
Witrand Specialised Hospital has strengthened its services with the appointment of 73 new healthcare and support staff members.
The new recruits include community service professionals such as pharmacists, occupational therapists, dieticians, physiotherapists, a clinical psychologist, an environmental health practitioner and medical officers. The nursing team has also been expanded with the addition of an operational manager, professional nurses, enrolled nurses and nursing assistants.

Support services were boosted with the appointment of food service staff, cleaners, groundsmen, an administrative clerk and a mortuary assistant, ensuring the hospital’s daily operations run smoothly. All new staff completed an orientation programme from 2-6 January
Hospital management said the recruitment drive forms part of an ongoing strategy to address staff shortages and strengthen clinical capacity. Witrand, which serves some of the province’s most vulnerable intellectually disabled patients, offers specialised services in acute psychiatry, rehabilitation and forensic psychiatric care.
Welcoming the new appointments, CEO Dr. Wana said their presence would enhance patient care and contribute to the hospital’s team-based approach to raising healthcare standards across the North West Province.
