Wheels of hope turning again for PAWS Haven
PAWS Haven is ready to serve the community again with a fully functional bakkie.

PAWS Haven officially has their bakkie back and is ready and able to assist animals in need again. They received their bakkie back on Friday, February 27.
Thanks to the generosity and expertise of Vescotech and North-West Truck & Trailer, the bakkie is back on the road and with it, a renewed sense of hope.
“You didn’t just fix a vehicle,” said Annelize van der Westhuizen of PAWS Haven. “You lifted a weight off our shoulders. You brought relief, hope, and a big breath of fresh air back into our shelter. You made this journey a little easier for us and that means more than words can ever say.”
PAWS Haven’s bakkie broke down on February 4, leaving them without transport.
“Today is one of those heartbreaking days for us,” said Annelize van der Westhuizen, spokesperson for PAWS Haven said earlier in February. “As an animal shelter, our hearts are always ready to help, but right now, our hands are tied. It hurts deeply to say no when we know animals may be waiting, scared, or in pain. This is not from a lack of care, but from a lack of transport.”
Today, the engine hums again. The calls will continue. The rescues will go on.
“Thank you for showing us that there are still people who truly care,” Annelize added. “People who want to see a shelter stay strong. People who stand behind the voiceless.”
