Promosa teenager missing since February

Potchefstroom SAPS are appealing to the community for assistance in locating a missing 16-year-old teenager from Promosa. Authorities say extensive searches have so far yielded no leads.

Police in Potchefstroom have appealed to the public for assistance in locating a 16-year-old girl from Promosa who has been missing for nearly a month.

According to police spokesperson Sergeant Kelebogile Morake, Ompabaletse Bridget Oliphant was last seen by her mother on Sunday, February 15.

Police confirmed that a search was launched shortly after she was reported missing and that extensive investigations were conducted in Promosa and surrounding areas, but so far no positive leads have been found.

At the time of her disappearance, Oliphant was wearing grey shorts, a black T-shirt and white Adidas sneakers. She is described as light in complexion, with a tall, muscular build and black afro hair.

Morake urged anyone who may have information about the teenager’s whereabouts to come forward.

“Police request anyone who may have information regarding Oliphant’s whereabouts to contact the investigating officer, Constable Shelly Seitlholo,” Morake said.
