The JB Marks Local Municipality wishes to inform residents of Potchefstroom of an electrical outage that is affecting all of Potchefstroom

Jeanette Tshite, municipal spokesperson, says the electricity outage has occurred following a trip on Transformer No. 1 at the Potchefstroom DS Substation.

“Eskom has confirmed that technicians have been dispatched and are currently on site investigating the cause of the trip. The Potchefstroom DS Substation supplies electricity to the entire Potchefstroom area through various substations. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.”
