Ikageng Extension 11 to go without water for three days

The municipality urges residents to make the necessary preparations by storing sufficient water.

Residents of Ikageng Extension 11 are urged to store sufficient water ahead of a planned three-day water supply shutdown starting on Tuesday, October 13.

According to Jeanette Tshite, municipal spokesperson, the JB Marks Local Municipality will interrupt the water supply to allow for maintenance work at Tambo Street.

The shutdown will start at 08:00 on Tuesday and continue until Thursday, October 15. Areas between Mogolodi and Sarafina streets will be affected, with residents potentially experiencing low water pressure or a complete interruption of their water supply.

“The municipality urges residents to make the necessary preparations by storing sufficient water in advance to minimise inconvenience during this period,” said Tshite.

She added that a water truck would be deployed to assist affected residents with their water supply while the maintenance work is underway.

The municipality apologised for any inconvenience caused and thanked residents for their understanding and cooperation during the essential maintenance work.
