Missing man found dead in fields

A 43-year-old man who was reported missing on 4 April was found dead in a field near where he lived.

According to Brig. Sabata Mokgwabone Isaac Otimile “Timi” Keorapetse (43), who lived in Bakerville village outside Lichtenburg, was found dead on Wednesday, 10 April, by a cattle herder, in a field just outside the village.  The cause of death is still being investigated.

Keorapetse went missing on 4 April when his sister accompanied him to Bophelong Psychiatric Hospital in Mahikeng so that Isaac could receive medical care. He had received regular care as he is mentally challenged. Isaac’s sister stated that she prepared a bath for him and went into another room. When she went to check on him around 7:00 that morning, he was nowhere to be found. He was last seen crossing the Lichtenburg / Zeerust road headed for the Kleynhans farm.
