This past week was filled with numerous outstanding achievements for North West Cricket. Topping the list is the inclusion of Dwaine Pretorius for the Proteas. Pretorius has played an important role in the successful series win against Australia with some handy wickets and tight bowling. On the women’s side, Lizelle Lee and Sinalo Japhta were also selected for the Proteas Women’s side.

The NW Dragons have also started their season like a house on fire with Janneman Malan scoring the highest A-list score in the history of North West with a brilliant 170* versus KZN at Senwes Park on Sunday, 9 October. Marques Ackerman (112) and Isaac Dikgale (101*) also scored their first 1st class centuries against KZN this past weekend.
