The bizhub Highveld Lions slumped to a seven-wicket defeat against the Warriors in Port Elizabeth to end their T20 Challenge journey this season.

The Warriors were too good in this qualifier as they easily chased down the Lions’ modest 136-7. Colin Ingram was the hero for the Warriors as he hit an unbeaten 56 from 46 balls. Ingram also contributed with the ball, with a handy 2/24 from his four overs.

The Lions will reflect back on their batting performance which lacked a big score from one of their star players. Reeza Hendricks hit the highest score with 32 but many batsmen could not convert double-figure starts into meaningful scores. The final will now be played between the Titans and the Warriors at SuperSport Park in Centurion on Friday
