Promosa and Ikageng will be in for a football treat this festive season with the BGC Games Festive Soccer Tournament taking place this coming weekend.
The action will start on 16 December at Promosa Stadium with matches between teams also taking place on 17 and 23 December at the same stadium.
The action will then shift a few kilometres further to Ikageng Stadium on 24, 26 and 30 December when the grand final will take place.
The founder of the tournament is former PSL player, Bongani Cashibe, has worn the famous kit of Orlando Pirates and Maritzburg United to name a few. He will use his football contacts in order to host to a special match that will take place on 30 December at Ikageng Stadium.
“We will have a former pro’s team taking on the BGC XI team of the tournament made of the best players at this tournament,” adds Cashibe.
Thato Masitenyane (tournament co-ordinator) and Tommy Mabeba (tournament director) will also make sure that things go smoothly in the coming weeks.
There are also massive prizes up for grabs with the winners of the tournament walking away with R 20 000. Second prize will be R 7000 and third prize R 3000, giving much incentive to teams.
Entry fees are R10 for adults and R5 for kids.
