The young Potchefstroom resident, Senshe Smith (13), showed her mettle on the water with a national victory at the SAJSBA (South African Jet Sport Boating Association) National Jetski Race in Richards Bay on Saturday, 30 June.

The race took place at Navel Island where Smith was in imperious form when she took first place in her class and the award for the best overall driver of the day. This is a stunning achievement for this youngster who really showcased her talent and fearless determination on the big stage.

Locals are looking to host a jetski race in Potchefstroom in September and currently need sponsorship to accomplish this.
