The bizhub Highveld Lions made batting look easy as captain and Proteas regular, Temba Bavuma, showed his class in the Momentum One Day Cup with a career best 117* to take his team to a convincing 8 wicket win against the Titans.

Bavuma’s knock of 117* included 14 fours as he stroked and pushed balls into the filled with ease. His contribution together with Reeza Hendricks (95) and Rassie van der Dussen’s unbeaten 46 took the Lions to their victory target of 310/2.

The Titans might have thought that they had a chance when they amassed 309/7 on the back of Dean Elgar’s impressive 309 , but in the end it was the Lions batsmen who showed their teeth under floodlight with a genial batting display against a good Titans bowling attack.
