The bizhub Highveld Lions will finish their Momentum One Day Cup campaign against the Dolphins on Saturday, 23 March at Senwes Park in what promises to be an exciting day night encounter.
The Lions haven’t had the best luck in the shorter domestic format with three no results due to rain and four losses summing up their season. The Lions have only picked up one win thus far in the competition, with this victory coming in Potchefstroom where the Lions always seem to thrive.
They will now hope that they can end their season on a high note against the men from KZN who are currently third on the table and in semi-final contention.
The always dangerous Dolphins opening batsman, Vaughn van Jaarsveld and captain and middle order batsman, Khaya Zondo, will be players to look out for. Bowlers Calvin Savage and Mthokozisi Shezi will also look to make inroads. The Lions will back their captain Temba Bavuma to once again deliver the goods in Potch whilst left arm pacer, Nandré Burger and the experienced spin of Aaron Phangiso can put the Lions on the winning track.
Tickets are R30 for pensioners and scholars and R50 for adults. Tickets are available at www.ticketpros.co.za and at Senwes Park.
