The South African team boasts several high-flyers from the NWU who will undoubtedly want to make a name for themselves.

The 30th Summer Universiade (World Student Games) is just around the corner with thousands of the world’s top student-athletes competing in this sporting extravaganza in Naples, Italy from 3 to 14 July 2019.
The South African team boasts several high-flyers from the NWU who will undoubtedly want to make a name for themselves.

The following Potchefstroom-based athletes were selected for the USSA squad in Naples:
Tennis:
Wilanie van Zyl
Athletics:
Joné Kruger, Jo-Ané van Dyk, Gena Lofstrand, Tshepang Makhethe, Johann Grobler, Chederick van Wyk, Rantso Mokopane, Tiaan Kleynhans and Mpho Links.
Rugby:
Lungelo Goza, Eugene Hare, Gustav Erlank and Diederik Oberholzer and Pieter van den Berg (coach).
