Western Province put out North West Dragons’ fire in one day encounter

The Dragons’ woes with the bat saw them only post 126 all out.

The North West Dragons went down by eight wickets to a resurgent Western Province team in the CSA Provincial one day match at Senwes Park on Sunday.
The Dragons’ woes with the bat saw them only post 126 all out. The top scorer for NW was Lesego Senokwane with a meagre 21 (28).
The fast bowler, Mihlali Mpongwana, (4/32) was the star for WP, along with the spinner, Sisonke Mazele (3/25).

The former North West Dragons batsman, André Malan, quickly finished the game off with a blistering 48 (20) before he was dismissed, just two runs short of a half-century. Tayo Walbrugh also impressed with 37 (36) for the visitors as they reached 127/2 with 32 overs to spare.

North West will have to go back to the nets in earnest this week, as they still seek their first win of the competition after two straight defeats at home in the one day format.
