71 sporting talents received the plaudits at a glittering function held at the NWU Alumni Hall on Tuesday, 29 October.

The 2019 Herald/NWU Sports Star of the Year awards was a brilliant reflection of the sporting talent at school level in Potchefstroom. 71 stars received the plaudits at a glittering function at the NWU Alumni Hall on Tuesday, 29 October. André Pretorius was the guest speaker for the evening and the former Springbok fly half, 2007 Rugby World Cup winner and current Leopards and NWU Varsity Cup coach, delivered a fitting couple of anecdotes for the young sportsmen and women of this generation. The MC for the evening, Koos de Villiers, was also at his energetic and entertaining best on a memorable evening for everyone involved. Photos: Wouter Pienaar
