Chance of a lifetime for young athletes at School of Speed

Athletes will be able to win big prizes and be in contention for Puma contracts – something any top young athlete aspires to.

The top young athletics kings and queens of speed will want to graduate with flying colours at the illustrious Puma School of Speed event on 27 January.
The one-off Puma School of Speed event will once again make its way to the Kenneth McArthur Stadium in Potchefstroom.
Many speedsters will have an opportunity to impress and enhance their careers.
Athletes will be able to win big prizes and be in contention for Puma contracts – something any top young athlete aspires to.
The beauty of the event lies in its inclusivity and general festival atmosphere – here anyone in the u.15–u.19 age categories can strut their stuff on the track.
This was the Potchefstroom’s SA and African champion in the 100 m, Miandi van Staden, who is one of the 2020 Puma Future Stars and brand ambassador. Through exposure and consistent high performances, she now has transformed into one of SA’s top athletic talents.

“I love the atmosphere at the Puma School of Speed Meetings,” says Van Staden in a press release. “I am proud and honoured to represent Puma. It’s a great brand and I love wearing it. My focus is on 100 m and 200 m.
My sporting hero is Allyson Felix because she is passionate about her religion (Christianity) and is a breathtaking athlete. My goal for 2020 is to represent South Africa at the IAAF World u.20 Championships.”
There are no entry fees for athletes, but entries close two days before the event.
The entry fees for spectators are R20 for adults and R10 for children.
Events: 100 m, 200 m, 400 m, 800 m, 1,500 m, Long Jump, High Jump, 100 m Hurdles (Boys 15, Girls 17 and 19 only), 90 m Hurdles (Girls 15 only) and 90 m Hurdles (Girls 15 only) and 110 m Hurdles (Boys 17 and 19 only.)
