NWU Tawana is back in the prestigious ABC Motsepe League

This is the first time since 2013 that a side from Potch will enter the ABC Motsepe League.  

NWU Tawana FC secured a nerve wrecking 3-1 penalty shootout win in the NW regional final against City Rovers in Vryburg to achieve promotion to the North West stream of the ABC Motsepe League in 2021. The match ended in a 0-0 draw before penalties decided the outcome. The ABC Motsepe League is the third tier of football in South Africa behind the Glad Africa Championship and the Premier Soccer League (PSL).
