Leopards off to winning start in Currie Cup

The Leopards hooker, Robey Leibrandt, scored a hat-trick of tries for the visitors whilst, André Fouché, also scored twice in a 7 try rout.

The Leopards have started their 2021 Currie Cup First Division campaign on a high thanks to a comprehensive 50-22 victory against Eastern Province at Pearson High in Port Elizabeth.

The Leopards hooker, Robey Leibrandt, scored a hat-trick of tries for the visitors whilst, André Fouché, also scored twice in a 7 try rout. Heinz Bertram on his debut, and Duren Hoffman also crossed the line for the Leopards.

Fly-half, Danrich Visagie slotted 5 conversions and one penalty, whist substitute, Keagan Fortune, kicked over one conversion to seal a great win for André Pretorius’ men.

The Leopards next face SWD this coming Saturday (26 June) in their first home fixture at Olën Park.
