The SA Olympic athletics team has taken the highly anticipated journey to Tokyo yesterday (Tuesday, 20 July) for the 2020 Olympic Games taking place from 23 July – 8 August.
The team is accompanied by NWU HPI director, Jean Verster, who is also part of the coaching and management team.
Throwing coach, Pierre Blignaut is also part of this contingent. NWU javelin thrower, Jo-Ané van Dyk and 400m sprinter, Zak Nene is also part of this group of athletes who will hope to make their country proud and return with medals around their necks.
