
The North West Flames were looking for a good start to this year’s Telkom Netball League, but it was not to be. The team has lost all its matches in Division 1 thus far.
The North West Flames really struggled to find any form during their games, which resulted in them losing all six games and cemented at the bottom of Division 1.
This year’s edition will be played over two legs. The first one was held in Pretoria from 5 to 12 September.
The Flames side had some changes in the management team and included quite a few youngsters who represented the NWU in this year’s Varsity Netball tournament. The quality of the teams in Division 1 didn’t make it any easier for the North West side.

This team will go back to the drawing board in their break between the two legs. They will identify where they went wrong and start working on those aspects to try and finish this year’s TNL on a high.
The second half of the tournament will take place in Rustenburg between 9 and 17 October.
North West Flames will start their second leg of fixtures against the Crinums on 9 October, where they will be hoping for a better all-round performance.
This team will want to ensure that they stay in Division 1 for next year’s tournament.
There is a lot at stake for the Flames in the final part of the TNL 2021.
