NW go down against KZN Coastal in Khaya Majola Week

The North West u.19 Khaya Majola Week side lost their second match of the tournament after going down by 7 wickets against a classy KZN Coastal side at the Witrand Oval on Tuesday, 21 December.

NW batted first on a difficult pitch and soon were in trouble on 26/4 with most of their top order back in the shed.

Tshireletso Tikoe, the Potch Boys High batsman, top scored with 57 (73) for NW. Johan Mahne (Gimmies) also scored a handy 40, after recording ducks in his previous two innings.

NW’s score of 229/9 was not enough on the day as KZN Coastal swept past the target in 47.2 overs. Chad Laycock with a run a ball 133* laid the platform for victory.

NW take on Easterns today at the Witrand Oval on the final day of the tournament.
