Potchefstroom will be home to the finest SA-based netball players that the country has to other with the Spar National Championships taking place from 8-13 August at the NWU Fanie du Toit Sports Grounds.
This prestigious championship will see approximately 1800 players take to the court for national supremacy.
The Under-21 championships will be played at the same time as the senior championships, and teams will be divided into three divisions in both tournaments. Hosts, Dr. Kenneth Kaunda, are the defending champions.
The championships will be played on a district basis, as this provides opportunities for more players to take part than a provincial tournament.
For the first time in two years, spectators are also allowed at the SA Netball Championships. This will definitely provide for an immersive and festive atmosphere.
The Cape Winelands are the defending champions, but hosts Dr. Kenneth Kaunda will do everything in their power to perform on home soil and usurp, the favourites.
Tshwane and Mangaung, two traditional powerhouses are back for this edition after missing out last year.
Selected matches will be broadcast on SuperSport OTT3/Channel 247 on the DSTV App (8-11 August 2022) and Variety 4/Channel 209 (12 August 2022). Finals LIVE on SuperSport Variety 3 Channel 208 (13 August 2022). Selected matches will be streaming on the SuperSport Schools App.
