295 Run Club athlete makes Potch proud at Comrades

Mojalefa Ditshwele is also the first male finisher from Potchefstroom and he achieved this memorable result in his first Comrades Marathon.

The 295 Running Club Potchefstroom made the local community proud when one of its orange-clad runners, Mojalefa Ditshwele, took the 56th place and silver medal in a time of 06:21:32.

“I thank God for giving me strength through my first Comrades attempt. “My people, you have shown love and support throughout, and I am really thankful,” stated Ditshwele on his Facebook page.

Other athletes from 295 Running Club who conquered the Comrades were Simlindile Msayi (11:27:48), Ayanda Nzo (11:23:08) and Clifford Kgorane (11:19:02).

According to Daddy Masilo, chairperson of 295 Run Club, the athletes participation and completion is a massive achievement for this club.

“We are still a very young club so these athletes are really an inspiration. Next year we want to enter at least 10 athletes, myself included,” added Masilo.
