Dragons batsmen stutter against Warriors

Warriors and Proteas paceman, Marco Jansen (3/40) in both innings, was on top form with the ball and also got the prize wicket of his twin brother Duan for 35 (30) in the second innings. 

The North West Dragons will have to go back to the drawing board after suffering a disappointing 239 run defeat against the Warriors at St. Georges Park yesterday (Saturday, 26 November).

The Dragons batsmen once again failed to deliver with their top order struggling to get going in both innings. The Dragons were bowled out for 116 in their first innings and could only manage 203 in their second innings.

To put things into perspective the top scorer for the Dragons was tailender Renaldo Meyer who smashed 42 (16) in a losing cause in the second innings. Middle order batsman, Delano Potgieter also tried his best with 38* (46).

NW Dragons captain, Nicky van den Bergh top scored for the Dragons in the first innings with 53 (99).

Beyers Swanepoel (4/19) in the first innings was also one of the top performers for the Warriors.

The man of the match was Warriors batsman, Matthew Breetzke who smashed 112* (233) and hit 91 (143) hitting big scores in both innings.
