The 2023 ICC u.19 Women’s T20 World Cup continued with a bang today (Sunday, 15 January) in scorching conditions at the JB Marks and NWU Ovals.
England showcased their tournament credentials when they smashed Zimbabwe by 174 runs at the JB Marks Oval.
England posted 199/4 after 20 overs after a blistering knock from Niamh Holland. She smashed 59 from 37 balls, which included 6 fours and a six.
Charis Pavely with 45 (26) shared in an 87-run partnership with Holland.
Zimbabwe were bowled out for only 25 in a poor batting performance.
Grace Scrivens took 4/2 with her off-spin bowling. Sophia Smale (2/5) and Josie Groves (2/5) also chipped in with key wickets.
