India crowned queens of the u.19 Women’s T20 Cricket World Cup

England were bowled out for only 68 as India’s bowlers and fielders put on a superb performance when it mattered most in the final at the J.B. Marks Oval.

Going into the match, England were the only unbeaten team in the tournament and were still in dreamland after completing a famous 3-run victory against Australia in the semi-final.

England were tentative in their batting, and although they managed to defend a small total against Australia in the semi-final, they could not do the same in the final.

Titas Sadhu (2/6), Archana Devi (2/17) and Parshavi Chopra (2/13) were the standout bowlers for India on the day.

Soumya Tiwari with 24 off 37 balls took India to victory with six overs to spare. It was delight for India who has won their first major women’s cricket title.
