There are only 8 days left before South Africa and the West Indies go to battle in the third One Day International at the J.B. Marks Oval in Potchefstroom on Tuesday, 21 March.
The match on this public holiday will start at 10:00 and will be the first ODI hosted in Potchefstroom since 2020.
The J.B. Marks Oval has always been a fantastic venue for international cricket and this upcoming clash will definitely prove to be no different.
Temba Bavuma will captain the Proteas in the ODI format, fresh from a superb test series clinching century. Bavuma and his Proteas charges are full of confidence after their 2-0 test series win.
Former Potch Gimnasium captain, Marco Jansen, is included in the ODI squad that also feature regulars, Quinton de Kock, Reeza Hendricks, Aiden Markram and David Miller. There are also call ups for newcomers to the ODI squad, Gerald Coetzee, Ryan Rickelton and Tristan Stubbs.
The West Indies are a different animal in the shorter format and will pose a real threat with some big hitters in their line-up.
The technically talented, Shai Hope, will captain the team with Rovman Powell as his deputee. Keep a look out for Shamarh Brooks, Nicholas Pooran and Odean Smuth to go big with the bat.
