South Africa restrict Windies to 260 all out

Bjorn Fortuin (2/48) and Marco Jansen (2/46) were the pick of the Proteas bowlers.

South Africa need 261 runs to win the third One Day International against the West Indies at the J.B. Marks Oval in Potchefstroom.

The visitors managed to score 260 all out in the first innings after being put in to bat by SA stand in captain, *Aiden Markram.

The West Indies started like a house of fire, reaching 39/0 off 6 overs, before Marco Jansen (2/46) struck removing Kyle Mayers for 14. Lungi Ngidi took a fantastic catch in the outfield to give the local crowd something to cheer.

Brandon King (72 off 72 balls) played a superb innings before losing his wicket with the score on 120, chopping a Lungi Ngidi delivery onto his stumps. At that stage the West Indies looked on course for a big score but the Proteas spinners pegged things back.

Aiden Markram (1/30) off 10 overs and Bjorn Fortuin (2/46) off 8 took some key wickets for the home team.

Jansen returned to take the wicket of the dangerous, Nicholas Pooran for 39 (41) and from there on the Proteas took control to keep the Windies down to only 260.

Ryan Rickelton and Tony de Zorzi will open the innings for the Proteas and will look to get off to a good start in the chase.

*Regular captain, Temba Bavuma, missed out due to an injury he sustained in the second ODI.
