Nini, a former THS Potch learner and proud product of Ikageng, is captaining the CSA Youth XI during this tournament. She lead from the front in her team’s first match of the tournament taking 4/15 in two overs during a rain reduced match against the SA U19 side.

Proteas Women wicketkeeper, Karabo Meso, hit an impressive 36 (23) for the SA U19’s as they accumulated 78/6 in 10 overs.

The CSA Youth XI though could not reach the target despite Van Rensburg contributing a late knock of 10*. In the end they lost by 11 runs as the SA U19 bowlers kept things tight.

Sekhute (Botoka Secondary School) and Van Rensburg (Potch Gimmies) will also want to show their skills in the remaining matches of the tournament.
