Stadium naming rights opportunity at North West Cricket

The naming rights to the home of North West Cricket is open to stakeholders who would want to be involved in this opportunity.

The JB Marks Oval as it has been known for the past 6 years will soon have new name.

North West Cricket is presenting a naming rights opportunity for one of South Africa’s premier cricket stadiums and the home of the North West Dragons and cricket in North West.

This after the naming right partnership with the JB Marks Local Municipality has come to an end.

This naming rights opportunity invites private sector organisations, institutions, and public entities to partner with one of South Africa’s leading cricketing destinations through a long-term naming rights agreement that delivers exceptional brand visibility, meaningful community impact, and sustained stakeholder engagement.

According to North West Cricket this is part of its strategic growth plans and ties in with the upcoming 26/27 season where an international clash between South Africa and Australia will also take place on September 30.

Commenting on the conclusion of the partnership with the JB Marks Municipality, Chief Executive Officer of North West Cricket, Tommy Phiri, expressed gratitude to the JB Marks Local Municipality for its contribution to the growth of cricket in the region.

“As we embark on this new chapter, we would like to express our sincere appreciation and gratitude to the JB Marks Local Municipality for its valued partnership and support over many years. Their contribution has played a significant role in the growth and success of cricket within our region.”

Phiri emphasised that while the naming rights agreement has concluded, the relationship between North West Cricket and the Municipality remains strong.

“We remain committed to strengthening our relationship with the Municipality and are confident that future agreements will place greater emphasis on cricket development programmes within the JB Marks community. Such collaboration will ensure that more young people have access to cricket opportunities, facilities, coaching, and pathways for personal and sporting development.”

Organisations interested in exploring the stadium naming rights opportunity and broader commercial partnerships are encouraged to contact Mr Sandile Shabalala (Marketing Manager at North West Cricket on 083 567 0489 or via email: sandles@cricket.co.za
