OPINION: Stupid is as stupid does
The results of this ballot would set the tone for the general election in 2024. Let’s make it count for change and the uplifting of the poor.

We’re a nation of dumb skulls. Airheads all.
How else do you explain the survival of a political party that has, and still is ruining the country? The economy is in tatters. Unemployment has soared into new heights. And as for crime, criminals have not only taken over the streets, but are well represented in government and law-enforcement agencies.
Despite the Zondo Commission and reliable investigative journalism unearthing solid evidence against the crooks, no substantive arrests have been made of government connections.
What has the nation at large done to show its disapproval? There have been elections during the ruinous reign of Jacob Zuma, but it’s as if crosses have been drawn indelibly on ballot papers. We dumb bums have allowed the crime-ridden party to continue to malfunction as government, and retain the tainted cadres. Even today there has been another major exposure of corruptness. It hasn’t stopped.
Name one government entity which hasn’t spawned thieves. The worst part is that the monies were earmarked for essential services with solely the poor in mind. Even a bank especially established to prop up the pensions for the needy has been looted by its management and leaders of a party who cry economic freedom. For whom? Obvious answer. Can anything be more disgusting? But do we numbed skulls really care? Can’t be.
The ANC is still alive and kicking up suffocating dust. Naturally its followers would say these sentiments are from a whitey, therefore racist, but it’s probable there are a goodly number of black people who are not fooled and are more than ready to join a credible representative group seeking to stop the rot in what was promised to be the liberator of the poor.
On the contrary, it is nothing but a predator targeting the most vulnerable. Being unable to pay its striking staff at Luthuli House is another example of a party that shouldn’t be in control. The municipal election offers us nincompoops a window of opportunity. Let’s remove the dunces’ caps and think with some intellect. Give the aspirant president a chance to walk the talk. We’re fed up with the incumbent’s boring bull.
