Manhunt launched for suspects involved in murder of unknown male in Westenburg

The murder of an unknown man took place at the new developing site along Ben Harris Street between Westenburg and the Place of Safety shelter.

POLOKWANE – The police in Westenburg are calling on the public to come forward  with any information that could lead to the arrest of the suspect(s) involved in the murder of a unknown male on Monday.

Police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba said they received information regarding the unknown male early on Monday morning.

Ledwaba said on arrival, police found a lifeless, half-burnt body with stab wounds on the upper body.

“This gruesome incident took place at the new developing site along Ben Harris street between Westenburg and the Place of Safety shelter,” his statement read.

A case of murder has been opened but the motive behind the incident is still unknown and Ledwaba said the circumstances surrounding the incident is being investigated.

 

The police appeal to anyone who can assist with information in identifying both the suspect(s) and the deceased to come forward.

This can done by contacting the investigating officer Sergeant Braidon Pheme on 067 093 9828, by reporting to the nearest police station, via the crime stop number on 08600 10111 or via the MySAPSApp.
