Baroka Football Club and Black Leopards Football Club will be eager to cement their positions in the National First Division when it returns to business this weekend after a brief Festive Season break.
Leopards who are currently in eighth position with 17 points after 13 matches will be hoping for maximum points when they face the struggling Moroka Swallows at Dobsonville Stadium on Saturday.
Lidoda Duvha will rely on their captain and South African u.23 midfielder Siphe-lele Ntshangase and lethal striker Roggert Nyundu to deliver on the day.
Log leaders Baroka will host former Premier Soccer League outfit Amazulu at the old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Baroka Team Manager, Oupa Kgoadi said they are happy that all players have reported to camp unscathed and they are looking forward to continue with last year’s performance.
“We have to start this year on high note and we must win against Amazulu. We are already in the second round of the season and this is a critical time for us and all the teams. Teams will be fighting for promotion, better positions and others for survival so we can’t afford to slip. We have to continue with the same vigour and fighting spirit we have shown last year and I believe we can do that,” Kgoadi said.
