Baroka Football Club has promised their supporters a better performance when the Premier Soccer League (PSL) season resumes in the last week of October after the Fifa break.
Having dropped crucial points in their last eight matches the Ga-Mphahlele team would need to drastically improve their game in order to stay on par with the leading teams in the league.
Bakgakga has thus far accumulated only six points which sees them on the 12th position of the league.
Club captain, Mduduzi Mdantsane has attributed their dismal performance to missed chances. “We are creating many chances in our matches but we are unable to convert them. We are doing well as a team, we know each other’s strengths but we are unable to capitalise on that. We have lost crucial points and we cannot afford to lose them in such a manner,” he said.
Their next match will be against the struggling Amazulu Football Club at the old Peter Mokaba Stadium on 27 October.
Amazulu are in 15th position of the League with a single victory after eight matches.
Mdantsane said their match against Amazulu will be tough considering their position in the league.
“We are in a similar position in the league. We all need points but we cannot afford to lose the match. This is our home match and we have to win it,” he concluded.
