Rise and Shine face CAF champions on home soil
The Limpopo outfit, Rise and Shine will lock horns with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) champions, Mamelodi Sundowns at the Peter Mokaba Sports Complex tonight (Wednesday) and this meeting is expected to be an exciting one.
POLOKWANE – Polokwane City lies seventh on the log with 10 points after playing seven league matches, with the Brazilians at the bottom of the log with only one point after two encounters since returning from Egypt.
Sundowns need to win their next few matches to rake in enough points to defend their title.
The match is scheduled for 19:30 and both teams will be playing to win. The Brazilians suffered a 2-1 loss at the hands of Chippa United on 30 October at Loftus Versfeld Stadium while Rise and Shine played to a 2-2 draw against Bakgaga during the Polokwane derby at the Peter Mokaba Sports Complex.
Sundowns will play the next league match against the Soweto giants, Kaizer Chiefs on 19 November at Loftus Versfeld Stadium with Polokwane City taking on Bloemfontein Celtic on 20 November at Dr Molemela Stadium.
